People whom I followed closely on social media, I feel like I know them on a personal level, just because I stalk their penned down thoughts. I'm nosy, but I genuinely want to know what happened, whose hearts got broken, whose wounds were ripped apart, whose love didn't get reciprocated, whose concern got shoved aside, whose tears were wasted on wet pillows. I yearn to know not because I want to be judgmental & start sticking my nose into who's right and who's wrong. I just wish to understand someone else's love story.

Love hits some like a hurricane, left some with an empty and broken soul. It has the ability to bring out the best and worst of someone. A feeling so powerful, I used to think it will only happen once. But having read other's love stories, it has taught me otherwise. I could list down a long list of precious lessons their stories have widened my narrow perspective. Which is why I wish to know.

Because I don't wish to be complacent when it comes to love. When you think you know certain aspects of life, you tend to appear more narrow minded because you think you know it all but there are so many things to be chanced upon, to be learnt, to be understood. So here I am, a nosy individual, embarking on a path to understand love so that I'll always be a giver to my love ones, not a taker.

We will never be enough for anyone. So instead of sprinting away from reality, why not learn to acknowledge and accept this fact? It's easier to live by your acknowledgement of the truth than to spend half your life trying to change the impossible or worse still, to try to convince yourself otherwise.

I'm not afraid of being too little for you. What I'm afraid is will I ever be too much for you. Too much of pessimism during my lows. Or just too much of optimism during my highs. Too much of the intense expectations of us, especially of how adorable our future babies are, of how enjoyable our standard of life would be. Too much of annoying petty questions like do you love me, am I the most beautiful woman to you when I clearly know what your answers will be. Too much of nagging as if that would make me more attractive towards you. And so and so...

I never want to be too much for you, for my love ones.

"I've changed",  "you've changed", "we've changed" to me, aren't acceptable reasons for a couple deciding to split ways. Unless that change is changing for the worst, eg changed into a sex addict, gambler, torturer.

Every phases of our life, we're changing. Even every single day. Something may have happened at work/school that has changed a person, his perception, the way he reacts to future similar situations, even career goals may change, all in a day.

And if that is so, if change is a legitimate reason for a couple to go separate ways, then we're basically dealing with the fact that our relationship partner may not be able to accept that particular change and still love us as us. If that is a legitimate reason, we're actually saying we're game for an unreliable and unsturdy relationship? Because change is nothing like abc; no one can ascertain what comes next and when. So if a relationship isn't built to last through the unprecedented changes, perhaps, it has never been and will never be a reliable and trustworthy one.

If our own families can accept the tremendous changes we've been through since day one and still love us, then why can't the person who claims he/she loves us does the same?

Time is a ticking bomb, the enemy of everyone. It's daunting to see how fast age is catching up on my parents. They've always been my motivation to strive better in life so that I'm able to let them enjoy the next halves of their lives. But sometimes, all these pound on my heart like a predator pounding on its prey, leaving me breathless. No, I don't view them as burdens, just responsibilities that I ponder about too much, especially when I know time is catching up. Anxious. Fearful. Knowing that I can't do things for them for as long as I wish to just makes me want to be able to provide for them as soon as possible.

But life requires me to take one step at a time. I don't mind, as long as every step that I take, I've the both of them right by my side. But, who can guarantee the term 'forever'? No one. That explains my fear & distress.
We've to come to terms that we don't have a call in our fate/destiny/whatever you label it as. We aren't supposed to go with the flow, we are supposed to go against it because we want to get to where we yearn to. But no, sometimes, all we could do is being forced to go with the flow. I've my own unspoken devastation about my dreams, do you? If you do, despite the devastation, cling onto your dreams even during the most unfavorable circumstances because someday, we're going to attain what we want; so long as we don't let the faith in us extinguishes.
