Macau; Day 5

Day 5 at Macau was a self-planned walking heritage tour. The starting point of the tour was a mere 5-10 minutes taxi ride from our hotel.

First attraction that we saw was Ma Zu Temple, which was unsurprisingly filled with elderly, uncles & aunties. The degree of crowd, as you can see, made us shun from the idea of joining them. Bet if we went into the temple, even moving an inch would be a chore. So, skip to the next attraction.

I love how the colors of these buildings along the narrow street compliment each other so well.

Since there wasn't any nice cafe/restaurant near our hotel, we did not have our breakfast until we chanced upon this Portuguese Restaurant that was tucked mysteriously at the corner of a street. I didn't know what entice Redbull to suggest dining there because from its dull looking exterior, I didn't even take a second glance, let alone deciding to dine there. Somehow, I was doubtful of his suggestion but went along with it because I'm a weakling when hunger conquers me. But, just like how he has magically casts spell on me, I reckon he must have did the same on this restaurant too. Not a single customer was in sight then.

We ordered a main dish each & waited.

He then flashed this out from his wallet all of a sudden! Old school neo-print that we took 5 years back, when we were just friends who were more than friends. Ok, you can ignore the complicated description. There are so many memories of us to reminisce. Be it sad or happy moments, they will be chained to our hearts, because they are all a part of us.

My salmon spaghetti, which is the best pasta I've ever had in my entire 21 years living, & it got me wondering what have I been missing out all along? THIS IS IT! THIS IS WHAT I'VE BEEN MISSING OUT ON! Label me a drama queen, but we all have our dramatic moments & I'm definitely not exaggerating on this tasty pasta.

Its appearance is sufficient for Redbull to salivate, then devoured it just like a happy carnivore.

At this biggest chinese mansion in Macau which has became a site for tourists now.

The backyard.

In one of the study rooms where he decided to play the role of an ancient scholar reciting endless chinese paragraphs.

As soon as we stepped out of the mansion through its exit, there was a barber shop right before our eyes. I don't know where did Redbull muster his courage from to even suggest having his hair cut in this pretty run down shop in a foreign place, but he did. He seems to have a fetish of getting his hair cut whenever we're overseas, the previous time was in Bali.

Just like the restaurant, his hair cut turned out well.

Due to Macau's rich heritage from the Portugal, there are numerous Roman Catholic Churches.

Senado Square.

Though the weather was cooling, but it was still a perfect moment to enjoy some Haagen Dazs ice cream.

Ruins of St Paul, the church which has only its magnificent stone facade and grand staircase remaining.

Look at what the crude Redbull did when we were making our way up to the church.

Lingered around, snapped photos, enjoyed the view below from atop the church.

Bought half dozen of Portuguese Tarts on our way down for later consumption in our hotel. Come to think of it now, we spent around 5 hours roaming around, stepping foot onto all the beautiful heritage sites. It was our last night in Macau & reluctance to end our getaway started its route to fill up our souls.
