Less than 2 weeks ago, I met up with a group of gluttons for the highly raved about buffet at Holland V. As some of you may have guessed so, it's the Crystal Jade La Mian Xlb buffet. When I'm late, I get so irritated I feel like screaming at myself for the impunctuality, and yes, that night I was late for the buffet. Thankfully the buffet time span isn't too short.

The environment isn't stuffy & hot like I've thought it would be because that's my perception for steamboat places. The food that they offer is fresh, but with limited varieties. They don't have the most common steamboat food, crabstick. Other food like taiwan sausages, pork meatballs, quail eggs aren't available too which are my favorites!

Everyone ordered the xlb, we did too. I had 6 of it so I must say it's not that bad? But then again, of course its quality can't be compared to those ala carte that we have at Chinese restaurants like DTF, etc. It's a xlb buffet, so needless to say you can be rest assured of its quantity.

Dessert time and we ended up at NYDC (again? I was just here the week before) because both Haagen Dazs & Cold Rock Creamery were full-house. My stomach was bursting so I gave desserts a miss but I'm pretty sure all the laughing & messing around burned some of my calories.

Wonder when would be our next get-together.
