GENTING TRIP!

A simple getaway to our neighbouring country was enough to keep us hyped up from the moment we bought the package. This clearly shows that it's always the journey & company that matters, not the destination.
Monday morning, as the time says, 8:10am.
He thinks he's a vampire who had to shun away from every possible sun ray.
In between the eight hours of bus ride, we stopped at several stops for food/toilet breaks. I didn't have any proper lunch because none of the food stalls caught my attention, or probably it was just because of the sleepy bug that found its way to me. I downloaded 6 videos into my tablet, in hope of providing some self-entertainment for the both of us, I ended up watching only one of it and Redbull wasn't interested at all. Waste my effort.
YAY! Once the surroundings started to turn blurry, we knew we were nearing Genting Highlands!
For me, the last time I went to Genting was years ago, with Redbull & his family. After several years have passed, I genuinely thought that the efficiency of First World's checking in service would improve, but no, they proved me wrong.
We waited for hours and during the long waiting time, we dropped by the casinos for a short while, wandered around and settled our lunch. Side note: As an anti-gambling person, I've never liked Redbull's interest for occasional gambling but I don't believe in forcing him to quit it totally because that's what he likes. I know it definitely isn't easy for a gambler/a person who likes to gamble (I think there's a difference between these two for sure!) to walk away whether he's on a winning/losing streak (otherwise there will not be any gambler right?), but Redbull displays self-discipline very well and that touches me. He has indeed changed a lot, more than I have expected.
Anyway, while waiting...
He was searching for my split ends which he found it very entertaining.
FINALLY CHECKING IN!
View from our room. Redbull said we were lucky to get this view as the previous time he was here, his window view was a full view of the opposite stayer's window. SAY HI!
Bam! We watched the tv programmes and dozed off for a while before heading out for dinner? I can't remember the exact itinerary.
The newly revamped Snow World! If I was a kid, I'd drag Redbull in, but nah. Looking at the slope reminds me of a life philsophy *erhem* - "先苦后甜". To enjoy the thrill of sliding down the slope, first you need to shoulder that heavy & bulky tyre and climb up the stairs.
Not a fan of bah kut teh though Redbull is, but a bowl of hot soup was perfect for the chilly weather then.
Night movie was cheap thrill! For only RM17/pax, we got the tickets, VIP seats with a popcorn & drink each! For the same price in Sg, we would only get the ticket itself. Only downside was the limited choices of movies. There were only 2/3 movies screening.
Brought desserts back to our room. Midnight sale at the Lobby's cafe. The fruit tart is delicious! Only RM4!
Woke up relatively early the next morning to settle our breakfast at Marybrown. Wish Sg has Marybrown. Their nasi lemak set and baked beans~ Such a homely taste. We went for a second round of breakfast at Mac. Gluttons in the town!!!
Hit the arcade! Look at the glowing chairs. And as usual, I lost to him in racing. I was very lousy at it, I got the last position because I totally couldn't grasp the feel of drifting!
Then, *drumsroll*, I had my virgin cable car ride! Yes yes yes, it was my first cable car ride, I've never been on one before. The view was spectacular even though it's broad daylight, with the absence of the city lights and all.
Who's adventurous enough to sit on this cable car?!
This is our main objective of taking the cable car - strawberry farm!
Strawberry fountain at the entrance.
I just wanted to experience the moment of cutting the strawberries so we only cut & bought a few.
After the farm, we went back to First World where I bought this super cheap & yummy cake!
Headed to Ripleys'. Truthfully speaking, it was nothing extraordinary. Unbelievable yes, but not many blew my mind away. Just a few.
Bowling session which ended up hurting my fingers. I think it was my incorrect grasping method. Many times, Redbull & I hit NOTHING. Embarrassed? No! We were having too much fun indulging in our own clumsiness to care about embarrassment.
He brought me to Sasa for my shopping gifts because he won from trips to the casinos before we went for dinner. Night was spent away at a pub with a live band. The chicken wings that we ordered were too bland to even be mentioned. After a few hours of listening to the band, we left out of slight frustration because they refused to sing the songs that we had requested!
Our last day, the dullest moment which was in contrast with our colorful tops.
Wanted to had dim sum at another restaurant but it wouldn't be opened until 1130 so we settled for this. Their dim sum tastes average, but not to Redbull's liking at all.
While waiting to board the bus back to Sg.
Lastly, a photo of my beautiful looking eyes~
A short getaway whose journey & company matters more than anything else.
