The common interest of ours is savouring food that delights our taste buds. Being gourmet frantics, we love to discover food places in this tiny red dot which we've not been before and of course revisiting places that are etched onto our favorite food memories logbook.

Last weekend, Jln Riang was our hangout place for dinner & not forgetting desserts. Fat Cat Bistro, if you're clueless, is a bistro which operates in a hawker centre style where there are a fusion of Thai, Indian & European cuisines.

Each of the cuisines is individually handled by different chef at their own individual space as you can see from the picture below.

Thai
Eggs of the son-in-law which is a must order as it's the only egg dish that's available on the menu so Redbull being an egg lover, eggs must be ordered! The eggs are normal hard boiled eggs with special thai sauce. An average dish with an innovative name.

My beef thai fried rice which smells & tastes correspondingly appealing.

Fried calamari which is crispy on the outside and tenderly juicy on the inside. Love these calamari but not the dipping sauce but thankfully for the butter chicken sauce that was the perfect replacement dipping sauce.

Like my main dish, Redbull's garlic naan with butter chicken is amazingly tasty too! The crabmeat tofu was a letdown as the crabmeat tastes like, disdainful chicken.

Exceeding my expectations for a hawker center bistro selling combined cuisines, Fat Cat Bistro delivers different tasty cuisines at affordable prices.

Just 2 doors down from Fat Cat is the dessert place I've been wanting to visit for more than 6 months, Wimbly Lu.

Look at the Q! We were in line for more than half an hour & if not for us being duo (most of them came in groups), our legs would have to withstand more standing.

 Quirky & noticeably cheerful decorations.

Takeaway for chocolates. Yes, Wimbly Lu is the place for chocolate lovers. Coincidentally, ALL the flavors of the chocolate balls are my favorites, it's as if they are specially made for me. Rum & raisins, baileys, salted caramel, milo. All my favorites!!!

Was contemplating between this (root beer cake) and waffles because both of them are highly recommended. Chose the former as I was too full from the dinner to have the waffles. Rich & moist chocolate cake goes perfectly well with root beer and it makes me wonder why hasn't anyone discovered this perfect combination in the past? What a pity that we've all been missing out on this!

Highly sought after molten lava cake. Unlike the usual lava cake, Wimbly Lu's doesn't come with an ice-cream but fret not, you can always get an additional scoop of your desired ice-cream.

Like many others who've tried this, we declare this to be the BEST molten lava cake we've ever tried. This is definitely not the mainstream lava cake elsewhere, you've got to get a taste of it to experience the 'mouthgasm'. This is equally good for chocolate lovers as it is for those who don't fancy going for chocolates that are too sweet.

From that day onwards, someone has undeniably became a Wimbly Lu's Die-hard fan.

"I would bring you anywhere to eat at anytime as long as you want to. Don't you know that?"

Others say 'you don't know what you have until you lose it' but I can't relate to this saying as well as I can to

'I don't know what others are capable of giving to me until you came along and gave me what I've never known that all these have always been what I wanted."
