My weekends were so packed I even had to set alarms on both days, something I don't usually do because I wish for my weekends to be less hectic. Moreover, it's sufficient to be setting alarms on 5 out of 7 days in a week right? Last weekend was packed with meaningful activities and I didn't have sufficient sleep on both Fri & Sat nights. The waking up early part was a feat, it was the sleeping late the night before part that made me really grouchy for not having ample beauty sleep.

Anyway, Redbull, shell & I accompanied wy for her monthly medical check-up and her bb is 14 weeks old which means WE CAN KNOW THE GENDER! A bb BOY! Now we can buy gender specific things.

Indescribable emotions the moment this appeared on the flat screen. This was my first time seeing a new life that has yet to be brought to earth. Every thing so fragile, precious and amazing contained in this little new life. I was left bewildered seeing how big this little bb is despite how wy's weight has been dropping since her pregnancy. You continue growing healthily, little bb. But at the same time, try to spare your mummy as little agony as possible. Be healthy, both you precious darlings.

The rare day wy's appetite grew.
We had lunch at Saveur. Disappointed at the basmati rice with chicken roulade. The rice was watery and less rich. Their rice was one of my favs. The seabass, duck confit & pistachio dessert maintained the standard though I'm kinda sick of Saveur for the time being. The downside of having it too frequently.

Right after Saveur, we Q up for Sushi Bar at fep while shell went for her waxing which is just opposite. By the time she was done, it was our turn. Yes, the Q is always long. But we were rewarded with food that was worthy of the Q.

Had 2 plates of this salmon aburi. Am gonna try the soft shell crab salmon aburi the next time.

Their sirloin steak is a must try!

Sunday was healthy trekking day at Bukit Timah Hill with the couple who was late. Redbull & I went ahead with the trekking by ourselves and halfway through, they called to say they were on their way so we took the same route back to the main road.

A productive weekend. More of such weekends.
8 of Feb: my birthday

On Friday night, Redbull & I went to New Udon Thai for their mookata cause he was craving for it and has told me one week ago. Halfway through the fattening yet hard to resist supper, Shell ran towards our table, yelling 'HELLO' followed by the rest casually strolling in. Stunned. Very stunned. Swear my life took on a freeze mode at that point. I was staring at them with a silly smile hanging on my face while trying to piece the puzzle together.

Shell? Thought she was at KL? Eh, why is Freeman here? Wait, wingyin is here too. Janice too. Huh? All came for mookata? Why is Alvin grinning sheepishly as if he accomplished something? Is that something this? This surprise for my birthday? YES IT IS! My mind was processing info 10x slower than usual.

I was really taken aback as long were those days where we always planned birthday surprises for each other so for many years I was definitely not in the state of preparing myself for a surprise. A really successful surprise and I'm really touched for my gfs' presence and all these wouldn't have taken place if not for Shell's meticulous idea.

A simple wish every single year.

The cake baked by Redbull which was also the first cake he baked for me before we were together.

Not forgetting my favorite DIY card from him.

The whole of Saturday was dedicated to a trip to Adventure Cove.

"Almost there. Almost there!"

FINALLY. At the entrance of Adv Cove.

Put my waterproof pouch to good use.
To GOOD use, that was what I thought initially.

The last few photos before I realized the real 'good' news.

GOOD NEWS WAS
I forgot to zip the pouch!
So smart I deserve a standing ovation for this.
While I was happily snapping away, my phone was enjoying the taste of Adv Cove's waters...

Saturnight with family with my Heroine whipping up my special orders of the food I love.

Cheesy mussels prawns.

Saba fillet

Lalaaaa

The two charms my family got for me with my siblings hooking them on for me.

My birthday meal with him at Miam Miam on Sunday. Though this was at the bottom of my to-visit-list, I'm glad it didn't disappoint despite me feeling angst due to the unavailable souffle au curry that was the only one I wanted to try.

His main

And mine. Squid ink baked rice. The saltiness isn't too overwhelming and the taste of seafood is relatively pungent.

One year older and I hope I'm one year wiser too. A contradicting feeling when it comes to facing the reality of officially stepping into the working society. The fear of not knowing what to expect. The fear of judgmental beings. The fear of inferiority to other job candidates. What job opportunities would come my way? What range of salary would I settle for for my very first permanent job? So many more questions which I guess can only be answered when I finally come face to face with the frame of decision making. Headache.

Let's pray that I'll be blessed in this upcoming phase of my life.
Embarked on a 5D4N trip to M'sia with my travel companion in Dec'13. It was a simple getaway but that was all we needed: each other, our friends & food. Simplicity at its best is the best way to remind us of the underlying principle of happiness and that is to practice happiness from within.

Not a night flight but a morning flight. We reached the airport even before the sun rose.

Many business travellers dressed in their formal wears while we the kiddos were seen comfortably dressed. Y'all going for work, we going for fun!

After 1 year of seeing Olivia purely on instagram & FB, we finally got to see this petite and forever bubbly Oli!
She'll kiss you through the glass if you just put your lips on it. How adorable? And the fluffy white dress was one of the outfits we bought for her.

Just a flow of activities.
Singing.

Look at the 3 deeply engrossed & sentimental singers.

We kept eating, eating and eating so there're gonna be many pictures of food.
Really nice jap restaurant that serves cheap & deli jap food.
All packed on a weekday.

Some of my favs. Teppanyaki. Fresh & well marinated meat that was thinly sliced.

Veg fritters.

Next morning caught in a morning jam on our way for, yes, food again.

This food court is like the 'Malaysia Boleh' & 'Malaysia Food Street' we have in Sg but of course way nicer. Those we have in sg aren't even close to the authentic ones.

More of Oli

Manja baby in action.

Hi-tea at choco paradise

Dinner at a Flying Fish restaurant?

Surprisingly, we were more attracted to their desserts.

This chendol is the...... Can't even describe!!! The fragrance of the gula melaka, ahhhh.

Yes, what's new when the both of them get together? Always full of nonsense. They're quite an replica of each other so they get along very well, too well in fact.
Just,
look.
Who else would do this in a restaurant, of course except them.

After dinner, first round of supper for all of us, the lok lok lovers. Sg should have this. I mean, as yummy as those in Msia.

Then, second round of supper for the durian lovers.
Ya ya, talk about calories. Supper = double calories. 2 rounds of supper = triple calories. Durians = quadruple (yes, I googled what comes after triple) calories.

Still as gleeful as hell even after knowing all the amounts of calories we've consumed.

Probably one of my fav meals. Oh wait, all the food we've had were just too satisfying (and cheap) for me to really list down my fav. But anyway, this place is a great recommendation by Celine.

The most innovative yet delicious salad I've had thus far. Imagine pork belly with papaya & lychee? Nope, have never crossed my mind these two can be a pair, let alone a compatible pair. But yes, this salad tastes soooo good. *taste buds blown*

The size of one satay is equivalent to that of two 'normal sized' satays which is so nice I forced myself to eat as many as I can. Despite that, 4 of us only ate half of the portion.

Never will forget about desserts.

At AS where it's a small town with lesser traffic, lesser crowds. A more laidback town as compared to the bustling KL.

But their hidden food spots are very kind hosts to us.
Had supper the moment we reached AS.
Yuan Yang hor hun + beehoon

Next morning. a trip to wet market to get groceries for a home cooked lunch by Shell's mum and grandma.

Ok, I shall digress from this scene. Main gist of what happened was I cried. Why? Figure that out.

Hearty breakfast. Atas yong tau foo where you can choose gigantic prawns, abalone, scallops.

Eggs filled crabbies! No seasoning, nothing, just steamed crabs and they tasted heavenly.

Visited Shell's uncle
and the CHUBBIEST BABY

Look at her hands!

Food. Think this is fried kembong. The sauce has a homely taste that makes you wanna go back for more.

Facial. Which Redbull didn't enjoy it as much as the ladies always do.

Sat for a drink at a pub whose the presence of the live band didn't really matter cause they weren't pleasing to the ears so we hopped to another, well, better one.

Dinner on the last night there: thai food.

Coconut jelly

Weird looking yet addictive fish.

Then, *poosh*, back to the hands of reality.

Getting to spend time with the most genuine people whom I'm very fortunate to have in my life is one big blessing of mine. Till next time when we meet again.
