My first acupuncture session, hopefully my last too. Not that it was painful, in fact it was the complete opposite. But I felt powerless when the inch of my muscle started to have 'heartbeat' (it was actually the needles reacting to the heat by jumping). I ridiculed myself infront of the sinseh when I exclaimed to her "My skin has heart beat!!! Is it normal?!"
Never wish to go through an entire 30 minutes ordeal taking in slow & deep breaths to get used to the 'heart beats' of my muscles.
