Came across too many devastating rape cases that I strongly abhor. Recently, more and more of these rape cases have been reported by the media which indicate that women victims are gradually opening up and fighting for their rights. Thinking about this, my mind turns to the fact that how many of the victims are still living in this fearful nightmare of theirs, keeping mum about it and shying away from the judgmental society. Too gruesome I can only force my eyes shut, in hope that it would take it off my mind. But it never does. Just like it never does for them.
Victims of any kind of abuses, stand up for yourself because if you don't, you're just letting the beastly abusers get the best of you. Stand up, because you need to have faith in the existence of people who do care and support you as we do exist.
