11.11.11; Justin's Birthday BBQ

2 years ago, the birthday boy Justin held his BBQ at the very same venue (WCP), only a different BBQ pit. If Redbull didn't correct me, I would still be thinking blindly that it all happened on last year. A cliché to say but time really does fly & awaits for no one. When we were young, all we wished was to grow up & now when we are finally growing up, we wished to be the carefree children we once were. We'll never be satisfied, will we? Seems like the grass will always be greener on the other pasture.
Took bus 30 from JP to WCP. Though the bus journey was approximately 20 bus stops, great company (Redbull & Erwin) unknowingly shorten the journey.

At a random point of time when Redbull's nose decided to give us a little surprise by bleeding, I swear my heart skipped a beat by the sudden bloody sight!
Missed our stop, alighted from the bus & eventually flagged down a cab somewhere near WCP.

Birthday boy's parents were already in the midst of getting the BBQ started when we arrived. The group started to increase in numbers as the skies grew darker & darker. But the BBQ fire stubbornly refused to allow us to begin feasting. Sweaty guys fanning the fire enthusiastically, people's hunger pangs acting up, hungry peeps began eating fried beehoon & marshmallows desperately. I've lost track of the time due to my mind & body concerntrating on nothing except my hunger, hence I really had no idea when the BBQ actually started. At least 1 & a half hour after I reached, that was all I'm certain of. Didn't eat much as usual when I'm at a huge BBQ gathering. I very much have a huge preference for a mini BBQ session with just a handful of my close loved ones.
Couldn’t express how glad & relieved I was that WY was there. Glad because it's been so long since I last met her. Relieved because thank God there was her to keep me occupied though Redbull never failed to be by my side. Not that I'm an outcast or a mute, it's just that I prefer to avoid all the mingling with crowd, starting awkward conversations, creating silly jokes to avoid awkward silences, keeping weird eye contacts lest the other party senses any rudeness
Endless drunkards' hilarious moments occurred right after the cake-cutting session. & not to mention my favorite scenes of Redbull being pressurized by peers to drink.
It's his small little gestures that never fail to brighten me up; kept on asking if I want H&S shaker fries when we walked past Mac, constantly asking me to eat a little when I said I didn't feel like eating, being by my side most of the times during the BBQ to assure me that he won't ditch me aside to enjoy alone, initiating to leave the BBQ early knowing that I'm feeling lethargic.
