Pre-Wedding Preparation

Maureen's (Redbull's cousin) pre-wedding preparation on Friday night, Redbull & I had the greatest chance of witnessing the preparation & embasking in the joyous atmosphere.

Due to my high anticipation that resulted from watching too many TV dramas, I must admit it was a let down. Definitely not pin-pointing on how a bad experience it was, just that the calm & quiet atmosphere weren't what I had expected. In my mind, I pictured the bride to be constantly saying how nervous she is while laying on the sofa with her whitening mask spreading across her face. Family members going on & on about, everything.

A few snaps around the house.

Saturday morning, where the groom came to fetch his beautiful bride. Like what I have seen in the TV dramas, the groom & his brothers had to go through a series of 'tests' given by the bride's sisters before the groom is allowed to step into the house. Not as noisy & fanatic as I wished it could be though. But, seeing the beads of pespiration appearing on the groom's face was a hilarious sight.

"Phew, finally I'm in after being tortured by the monsters." I think that was what he was thinking uh?

Cantonese & mandarin version of a meaningful love song that was supposedly meant to coax the bride to let the groom in to the room where she was in.

Photo-taking sessions before the bride & groom get ready to head to the groom's house.

Sacrament was held @ St. Anthony's Church.

With the bride's arm locked around her father's arm, the groom was waiting at the end of the aisle for his father-in-law to finally entrust her daughter to him.

The Father of the church gave a meaningly & humorous speech touching on the topic of the day; marriage. It set me thinking, even till now.
"Love is patient, love is selfless."
"Love must not depend solely on feelings that one have for another because we all know that feelings fluctuates; sometimes it increases, & sometimes it fades. Love is also about commitment; telling yourself that you have committed to this person & you always will."

Vows were exchanged in the presence of the Father, newlywed's family, relatives & friends before rings were slipped onto each other's finger.

Buffet lunch followed by the usual photo-taking session.

I can see the future us.
