Time is running short

Time has no mercy & I wish it had. Everyday, whenever my eyes are closed, open or half-closed, I ask for time to crawl by when I'm with my loved ones. But God didn't answer my prayers, perhaps it's one that's too much to ask for because the world revolves around no one & time shouldn't fast forward or pause merely because people like me ask for it. Weekends are too short, way too short.
Prior to the night before weekends were here, had steamboat at Redbull's house. Saturday was family gathering at Aloha. Redbull & I were telling each other how excited & hyped up we always were whenever there was a chalet during our secondary school days. Those crazy moments were left in the dusty past, alongside with the good old memories. Now, chalet doesn't seem to appeal to us like it did years back. A sign that we are growing up, growing out of those days when having fun was the sole thing on our minds, no? Our worries and priorities increase proportionately with the number of candles on our cake.
After having a few bites here & there from the BBQ, we scrambled upstairs for rounds of card games.
Weary of staring at the cards, Redbull suggested a walk to Downtown East. A perfect timing for me to get my bubble tea too. My stomach wasn't in for Popeyes as my supper & I regretted having had BBQ food. Popeyes>BBQ of course!
Sunday afternoon started with Redbull's mum calling us out from bed to head down to aunt's house for steamboat/BBQ. Been having many steamboat sessions during CNY period though I'm not a fan of it.
A good substitute for steamboat is always this!
I had cheese tofu, cheese hotdogs, chicken, otah, portobello mushrooms, fishcakes.
Refraining myself from eating too much because I was meeting my family for dinner @ Fish&Co.
BUT, I was still full so I ended up having only a bowl of 'Soup of the Day' while stealing a few fries from my mummy & bro, & the leftovers of Redbull's cod fish.
Every single day reminds me of how fortunate I am to have, them.
