Study/not to study?

As much as how many times I hear people saying that academic certificate isn't everything, I hear more people emphasizing how it is actually everything in this realistic working society. For me, I take no sides because sitting on the fence seems like the most unbiased way of thinking. Not everyone is cut out to work just like not everyone is cut out to study right? Fair & just are what I thought I could be. But no, the selfish reality (or maybe it's just the realistic me taking over) forbids me from doing so.

I believe that a certificate doesn't justify a person's capabilities and abilities because studying and working are 2 entirely different situations. However, (there is always a however) sometimes these 2 situations which I deem as being entirely different seem not to differ as much. Why, you would ask? Projects, assignments, tasks being handed to you at work are somehow equivalent to your tests and exams at school; both measures your capability & ability to perform/outdo your collegues/peers. Your superiors' comments, customers' reactions somehow remind you of your school's  results slips.

Unlike some youths I know of who venture into businesses at young age or others who gave up their studies in hope of securing a job which offers them the basic monthly salary, I'm going to attain my Law degree. I'm a person who seeks stability & security, so to take a bold risk on my future is out of my league.

What's important is to stop embroiling in your own series of conflict of interests; be sure of what you want to do and what you want to achieve in life & work towards that direction. Results come to people who strives, not those who slacks.
