Singapore's Birthday

If anyone should ever be labelled as the ultimate procrastinator, I'll jump out as the most suitable volunteer because I'm only updating what happened on our national's day now! But I guess I have a legit reason for doing so. Shall talk about it towards the end. Save the good for the last. But in this case, it's definitely a thing that is far from good.

A family trip to Gardens by the Bay was planned solely for our Heroine because she's a flowers/plants craze!

Getting from Jurong to our destination was hassle-free.

Heroine said to just purchase tickets for one conservatory but I insisted on buying both because since we were already there, why not just make full use of the trip right?

Here it goes!
We were greeted by this huge man-made waterfall when we entered Cloud Forest.

Then it was the Flower Dome!

Treating the path like her own runway.

Candid shot by my bro. I've always liked candid shots, especially unglam and hilarious ones. Obviously this candid shot wasn't unglam because he was taking a picture of us taking a picture, if you get my drift.

My favorite shot of us.

Now, the reason why I took ages to update about this trip because I'm still being weighed down by guilt & unhappiness of a particular incident. I love taking pictures, not in the shoes of a professional photographer (cause I'm not), just in the shoes of a person who has always loved capturing moments of happiness. Looking back on the frozen moments that have been captured, precious flashbacks send warmth through the veins of my heart. Especially on family trips like these which mean a lot to me.

Holding a canon compact camera for the entire day, snapping irreplaceable moments for the sake of future reminiscing  It was almost towards the end of the trip till I realized all my previous efforts have been in vain, not a single shot was saved (The picture below was when I came to realization of the pictures).

Initially, I thought the absence of the memory card will not affect the storage because every camera has internal memory. But I was wrong. My assumption was wrong. The dreadful consequence of assuming. It may sound exaggerating to you because it's just pictures that I have lost. But no it wasn't, at least to me, those weren't just pictures alone.

SuperTree Dining.

Mee siam.

Laksa.

Chicken bryani.

Beef kway tiao.

Normal hawker food but it tasted nice. Even Heroine who doesn't often find laksa which is worthy of a compliment praised the delicious laksa too.

Though we've all enjoyed ourselves indulging in the man-made nature & the warmth of each other, I still blame myself for the pictures that were gone, even till now.
