Saturday was my first day for tutorials. As the majority preferred coming back fortnightly for tutorials, tutorials for 4 subjects were scheduled into one entire Saturday. Initially, I thought the idea wouldn't be beneficial as there would be too much to absorb in a day. But I was wrong. My mind was active throughout the entire day from 930 - 530.
Sunday morning - Redbull's cousin pre-wedding ceremony which was basically an exchange of gifts. The buffet spread was a variety of food which has a tinge of homely taste. I love the honeydew sago.
I gave work a miss because the ceremony didn't start as early as I was told and hence, it ended late too.
Cruise, the fanatic angry bird fan. He even knows how to imitate the different sounds of the different birds.
At night, we met Shelly who's back from US. They already had their dinner so Redbull & I went ahead for ours at Swee Choon. Been a while since we stepped in at Swee Choon & man has it expanded! They sure made lots of profits to be able to expand its space triple the size of its old space.
They even had this electronic device which is supposedly installed to ensure the promptness of their services. You can press for bill, for ordering. But it didn't seem to work. We pressed several times but no one came forward so we resorted to the most basic way of raising our hands, which of course worked.
Their serving of food was very prompt despite the crowd.
My craving: mee sua kueh!
Red bean pancake which is good. Better to consume it when it's hot whilst the skin is still crispy.
Banana & prawn fritter which I finished it all by myself because Redbull doesn't like it. Perhaps the combination of banana & prawn sounded weird to him but it's a pity he doesn't 'venture' into tasting of new food.
Salted custard bun which is good (its filling flowed instead of being a dough form) but I still prefer Royal China's.
These few are my favorite ones which we ordered that night.
When we've cleared almost all the plates, Shell&Co arrived and we left to Dempsey for B&J because Redbull was craving for their waffles which a pity, was already sold out. Must be the timing when we arrived; we reached 10 minutes before their closing time.
Had a great catchup session with the girl with a golden heart (her sweetheart Freeman said this. But of course few can deny this). She's leaving to Msia in 2 days time and I hope before Redbull enters his army, both of us will be able to head to KL/Alor Setar with Shell. Perhaps next month or December? A 3D2N trip will do. Hopefully by then, Celine has already delivered her baby Olivia. A new life is arriving~
