Pre-birthday

It's been so long since any one of us hit the town for shopping because we're starting to dislike crowds & traffic immensely. But, Redbull has to do his last minute CNY shopping. Guys being guys, or perhaps it's just the lazy him, bought 2 tops & 1 bottom in the first shop we entered. Cine was crazily crowded, or rather the entire town was too crowded for our liking.
We caught ABTM2 which I think is the nicest local movie alongside with The Maid. A malay guy sitting beside me, was an emotionless guy. While I was laughing my heads off & crying my eyes out, he maintained a straight face throughout. Don't ask why did I observe him. I know I appear to be as weird as him.
Back at his house, when I've forgotten about the birthday cake we were supposed to get, he sprang out holding my favorite durian mousse cake. An undeniably adorable sight of him saying, "I broke one of the candles. Is it bad luck or something?" left my heart warm, as usual.
It was nothing but a simple date out with him, but it was nothing short of happiness.
