Whenever I chance upon a long standing relationship which has came to an end, I grieve for them. I grieve for the love that was once beautifully alive. Maybe they parted on good terms, maybe they parted while they're still in love with each other. But the latter is why I grieve even more. Why do people say 'I love you so I've to let you go'? Why can't love be simpler? Why does it have to be sacrificial? I mean am I the only one who caves in to a lover who's selfish enough to insist that I only belong to him, who wouldn't let me go despite how tough it is?
