Despite me having offended the CEO (whom later on I came to hear of for being known for his fiery temper, arrogance & pettiness) unknowingly, I wasn't being laid off.
Luck wasn't in the picture for the fact that I didn't get dismissed, it was all my 3 superiors' credit. After hearing the past incidents that have happened to the other staffs, I dared not bear the slightest hope of returning to my workplace during the 4 days of cooling period I've told to spend at home. In actual fact, I was already going onto several job sites in search of a new part time job. If not for my superiors' effort in trying their hardest to convince & persuade the CEO that my presence in their project team is indeed sought after, I reckon I would even be laying my foot into my workplace after that doomsday.
An awesome moment when someone recognizes my worth & fights to allow me to continue proving my worth in this workplace.
