Lunar New Year

I've always love traditional festive seasons, especially CNY when families & relatives gather around not because of our love for festive goodies but because of our blood relations. Every year, I spent my happening CNY at Malaysia, together with my siblings & cousins, we indulged ourselves in the adventures of playing different kind of fireworks. That's what makes a vast difference in celebrating in Malaysia & in Sg. Well, there's always pros & cons in every single thing. Fireworks may be fun, but it can be dangerous too, so play it at your own risk. I learnt that in Malaysia, there was a male who died instantly when his head burst because of fireworks!

First thing when we reached Malaysia on Sat afternoon, my siblings & I went for facial. Who doesn't wanna look ravishing on a CNY right?

Reunion dinner on Friday night was nevertheless the convenient steamboat. Chicken soup brewed from day time by my mummy.

At my grandma's house, the area itself never fails to be a venue of fireworks display. The clock strike 12 & it was time for 紅砲.

正月初一头一天, 家家户户过新年~
Traditional cheong sam that I wore on day one. My grandma has always love beautiful cheong sam with detailed fabric. Even though she's senile now, her love for such handicrafts never changes in a bit. She kept on smoothing my cheong sam when I was standing beside her.

Gaga hard core fan.

My closet cousin since young who has lost 10 kg in a month due to the aid of a slimming pill which we've all advised him to stop consuming. We grew up together, cooked our favorite maggie mee together, played masak masak with real fire together, burned caterpillars to death together, complained about our parents every time we got a scolding or beating together. In short, we spent our unforgettable childhood & teenage times together. Now that we're stepping into adulthood together, our relationship hasn't soured once & our beliefs in our blood ties will only enhance our precious cousin relationship.

The best house helper! Great cook, fast learner, patient & caring towards my grandma. The best thing having her in the house is that my grandma gets along very well with her & she likes her a lot. It's not elementary for someone to get into the good books of my grandma because she isn't easygoing.

Adults' mahjong session.

Youngsters' Monopoly deal session which we played every day for hours.

My cousins' dog, Bacon! Friendliest dog I've ever met till date. It snuggled onto everyone's lap and just laid there at its own comfort.

二.

My cousin on the far left I haven't seen in 9 years has put on quite a lot of weight. But it doesn't change the admiration I have for him since young. If you're wondering what's the reason for this admiration, his profession as a lawyer speaks for it.

A pity we had to leave in the afternoon because work & school resumed on the next day for us. Blame it on Sg's holiday system! I wish I could stay on for a few more days to catch up with my cousins, especially my lawyer cousin. But well, I've really enjoyed myself during CNY, and that's something worthy to rejoicing of.
