Freedom to Love

Fixed/arranged marriages may sound foreign to us, but not to all.
One of my colleagues who went over to Mumbai HQ for 3 months told me about his conversation with an indian colleague over there. This indian colleague of ours is getting married soon to his financee whom his parents have chosen for him. When asked,
"Siva, do you have a girl you love?",
he choked on his words,
"Yes I do, but I can't be with her."
People like them living at different parts of the world is being deprived of their freedom to be together with the one they love, and here we are witnessing the divorce rates increasing rapidly. What happen to counting our bliss? What happen to saying "I love you" and actually mean it? I'm not the perfect lover, but who is right? What matters is your heart, never let it be stained by dishonesty and lies. Don't abuse the word love because so many people out there yearns to mouth this precious word to their only one but will never be able to do so. It's never easy to find a mutual love relationship, I see it as a gem. Hence, let us all work together to smoothen out the rough patches which we will be facing, because, 2 is always better than 1.
